"The beginning" dates back to the early
1970’s when Dave Ross of Middlebury, VT, jumped
into the automotive aftermarket fresh out of high school,
determined to make a difference in the industry. With
a focus on the above principles and the help of his
wife, Vicki, ADD-ON Distributing, Inc. was formed in
the early 80's.
Over the next two decades, as the Ross Family grew,
so did the company. ADD-ON Distributing became one
of the largest wholesale distributors of automotive
accessories in the country, with three warehouses and
a delivery network in the Northeast. The retail store
began as an outlet for overstocks and factory seconds.
As popularity increased, the store moved to its Williston
Road location and began to operate as a full-service
Accessories and Installation Center.
In 2004, the Rosses sold the wholesale distribution
business. The eldest Ross
daughter, Cathe, and her husband, Ryan McDevitt
of South Burlington, VT, returned to take over
the outlet store and the respected ADD-ON name. The McDevitts purchased ADD-ON Accessory Outlet in January 2006. With the Ross traditions in mind, Cathe and Ryan McDevitt
will continue to use their industry connections
to bring you the lowest prices possible, while
expanding their products and services and bringing
renewed attention to their
customers.
